Understanding Prose



Understanding prose is a form of literature that are arranged in the form of a story freely, which is not bound by rhyme and rhythm. The word is taken from English prose, prose. (Middle English <Middle French <Latin prose (Oratio) literally, straightforward (speech)). This word actually suggest in the wider sense, not only includes the writings that are classified as literary works, but also works of non-fiction, such as articles, essays, and so on.

In terms of literature, prose often termed fiction (fiction), narrative text (narrative text) or narrative discourse (narrative discourse). Prose parallel with the term fiction (fictional sense) can be defined: the work of narrative which tells something that is imaginary, does not really happen in the real world.

The difference between the old and new prose is as follows:

According to the contents Prose is also divided into two, namely: 1. Non-Fiction Prose. Non-fiction prose essay is not based on fiction or fantasy writer but contain things such as factual information (true) or based on the observations of the author. Nonfiction Prose also known as semi-scientific essays such as: articles, editorials, opinions, biographical, tips, news, new journalism, advertising, speeches and feature

Evita technique is a technique of writing prose by involving students directly into a character in a story to be written.
Old Memories technique is a technique of writing prose involving memory (memories) of the most memorable in the students themselves.
He Malang technique is a technique of writing prose by telling friends, or others that have experienced tragic events or tragic.
Reportage technique is a technique review of events seen both events as well as events in the course of the experience.
